Frequently Asked Questions
The most frequently asked questions about Pergo flooring
How is Pergo different from regular laminate?
Pergo is not ordinary laminate — it's a "hybrid engineered" floor with a TitanX scratch-resistant layer on top, far stronger than standard laminate. It also features AquaSafe technology for 72-hour water resistance, while regular laminate swells immediately when wet. Plus it carries a 10-year warranty.
Is it really waterproof? Can I use it in the kitchen?
Yes! AquaSafe technology in Odense and Visby provides 72-hour water resistance. Spilled water, soup — just wipe it clean, no problem. However, bathrooms or outdoor areas with prolonged water exposure are not recommended.
Can I install it myself? Is it difficult?
DIY friendly! The PerfectFold 3.0 system just requires placing the plank, tilting slightly, pressing down — you'll hear a "click" and it's done. No glue, no nails. A 10-11 m² room can be finished in one day. Our installation team is also available.
What is the difference between the three ranges?
Odense — 2-metre planks, 240 mm wide, 9.5 mm thick, 16 unique wood patterns, bevels coloured to match the decor. Makes a room read wide and continuous; ideal for large living rooms.
Visby — the widest colour selection, rustic aged-wood surface, V4 bevel on all four sides. Suits every room.
Perstorp — seamless, no bevel, so the floor reads as one continuous surface. Warm oak tones; great for condos and smaller rooms.
All three are water resistant, carry the TitanX scratch layer, and come with the same 10-year warranty. They differ in plank size, surface texture and the decors available.
What does the warranty cover?
Every range carries a 10-year warranty. Coverage includes surface finish, water resistance, and board structure. Professional installation by our team adds a 1-year labour warranty.
How do I calculate how many boxes I need?
Use our online calculator — just enter your room size, choose a range and laying pattern, and the system calculates instantly, including waste allowance.
Compatible with underfloor heating?
Yes, Pergo is designed for underfloor heating. Surface temperature must not exceed 27°C.
Can I order samples?
Yes. Call 063-220-3000 or leave your details in the contact form, and our sales team will get in touch to talk through the decors you like and the size of the room, then arrange samples on the terms you agree.
Is it suitable for wet areas (bathroom, kitchen)?
Pergo has AquaSafe IPX5 water resistance, suitable for kitchens and small bathrooms. Not recommended for areas with prolonged standing water.
