AquaSafe — up to 72 hours water resistant

Ordinary laminate fails at the joints: water reaches the core and the plank swells. AquaSafe seals the surface and the plank edges so a spill sitting on the floor cannot reach the core within the stated time.

The figure refers to a spill resting on the surface. It does not make the floor suitable for permanently wet areas — bathrooms, saunas or anywhere with standing water are still not recommended and are excluded from the warranty.

TitanX — AC4 scratch and wear resistance

TitanX is the clear layer on top of the plank. It takes the abrasion so the decor layer underneath does not wear through — the pattern stays put even where the floor is walked on daily.

AC4 is the abrasion class under the European standard EN 13329 — the level specified for heavy residential use and lighter commercial traffic. Every Pergo collection sold in Thailand is at this level.

Scratch resistance does not mean scratch proof. Grit carried in on shoes is what actually wears a floor down — a doormat and felt pads under furniture legs do more than most people expect.

Click-lock, no glue

The planks lock into each other by the shape of their edges — no glue, no nails. The floor floats on the underlay, so it can expand and contract with temperature without buckling, and can be lifted again if needed.

Both systems are Unilin patents — Unilin is Pergo’s parent company — and both install without glue. They differ in how the planks are engaged during laying.

10-year warranty

Pergo flooring sold in Thailand carries a 10-year residential warranty and a 5-year commercial warranty — the same across every collection, so there is no need to compare warranty length between ranges.
